The global market setup for Wednesday appears mixed but generally supportive for Asian equities. On Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average eked out its third consecutive record close, rising 0.1% to finish at 50,188.14. GIFT Nifty is currently trading around the 26,050-26,060 level, suggesting a strong opening for the Nifty 50, which closed Tuesday at 25,935.15. Domestic sentiment remains upbeat following a three-session winning streak and sustained foreign institutional investor (FII) inflows, which amounted to over ₹2,250 crore in the previous session.

Investors are also reacting positively to the strategic India-US trade framework, which includes reciprocal tariff modifications, and the recent push for deeper industrial ties with Malaysia. However, rising compliance costs linked to new labor codes are being monitored as they have begun to impact the margins of certain mid-cap companies this quarter.

• BHEL: The government has announced an Offer for Sale (OFS) to divest a 5% stake (3% base + 2% green shoe) in the company, aiming to raise over ₹4,400 crore.
