Primary Market Gears Up as 11 IPOs Including NSE and Hero Motors Open Alongside 14 Scheduled Listings

The Indian primary market is witnessing peak momentum with an influx of new public issues and debuts, setting the stage for one of the busiest stretches on Dalal Street. A total of 11 initial public offerings (IPOs) are slated to open for subscription across both mainboard and SME platforms, while 14 companies are scheduled to list their shares on stock exchanges.

The pipeline is anchored by the historic public offer of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), accompanied by substantial mainboard offers from Hero Motors, SS Retail, and Jindal Supreme (India).

Marquee Mainboard Offerings in Focus

Leading the charge is the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), which opens its public issue on September 17 and closes on September 21.

  • National Stock Exchange (NSE) IPO: The issue is priced in the band of ₹1,700 to ₹1,785 per equity share. The entire issue is an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to 12.64 crore shares worth approximately ₹22,561.57 crore from existing shareholders, including State Bank of India, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Bank of Baroda, and domestic insurance majors. This marks the second-largest IPO in Indian market history.
  • Hero Motors IPO: The auto-component maker is tapping the market with a ₹1,000-crore issue open from September 16 to September 18. The price band is fixed at ₹79 to ₹84 per share with a lot size of 178 shares. The offer consists of a fresh issue of ₹600 crore and an OFS of ₹400 crore by promoters. Funds will be deployed to pare debt and purchase equipment for capacity expansion at its Gautam Buddha Nagar unit.
  • SS Retail IPO: The electronics and mobile retail chain's ₹500-crore offering will open for bidding between September 16 and September 18. Priced at ₹403 to ₹424 per share, the issue features a fresh issue of ₹360 crore and an OFS of ₹140 crore. The company intends to utilise the fresh proceeds for expanding its retail footprint with new store fit-outs and meeting working capital requirements.
  • Jindal Supreme (India) IPO: The piping solutions manufacturer has fixed a price band of ₹88 to ₹93 per share for its ₹124.88-crore public issue opening on September 16 and closing on September 18. The issue includes a fresh equity issuance of ₹99.89 crore alongside an OFS of ₹24.99 crore by promoter entity VVJ Enterprise.
