Six Mainboard IPOs Open on a Single Day to Raise Over Rs 4,500 Crore in 30-Year Record

The Indian primary market logged a rare milestone on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, as six mainboard initial public offerings (IPOs) opened for public subscription on a single day. Together, the six issuers are seeking to mobilize approximately ₹4,509.68 crore from domestic and institutional investors.

According to market historical data from Prime Database, this marks the first instance in nearly three decades that exactly six mainboard issues opened on the exact same date. The last identical occurrence was recorded on October 14, 1996.

The Six Issues Hitting Dalal Street:

  • Rentomojo (Rentomojo Ltd): The largest offering in the cohort, aiming to raise ₹1,255.57 crore with a price band set at ₹384 to ₹404 per share. The issue consists of a fresh issue worth ₹150 crore alongside an Offer for Sale (OFS) of ₹1,105.57 crore.
  • Karamtara Engineering Ltd: Seeking ₹875 crore through a fresh issue of ₹675 crore and an OFS worth ₹200 crore, priced between ₹241 and ₹254 per equity share.
  • Manipal Payment & Identity Solutions Ltd: Targeting ₹805 crore via a ₹320 crore fresh issue and a ₹485 crore OFS, with a price band of ₹322 to ₹339 per share.
  • Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Ltd (Arcil): Looking to raise ₹732.97 crore entirely through an Offer for Sale in the price band of ₹132 to ₹139 per share.
  • LCC Projects Ltd: Targeting ₹427.14 crore, consisting of a ₹258 crore fresh issuance and ₹169.14 crore via OFS at a price range of ₹139 to ₹146 per share.
  • Steamhouse India Ltd: Raising ₹414 crore, comprising ₹353 crore in fresh capital and ₹61 crore via OFS, within a price band of ₹77 to ₹81 per share.

A 30-Year Shift in Market Scale

The massive scale of today's fundraising highlights how dramatically Indian capital markets have evolved over three decades. On October 14, 1996, the six companies that opened their issues—Cozy Enterprises, Hind Securities & Credits, Kanugo Lease & Investment, RCS Exports, Sona Processors (India), and XO Tronic—sought to raise a cumulative total of just ₹21.58 crore. By contrast, the current batch of issuers is raising over 200 times that amount in a single session.

All six current offerings will remain open for subscription until September 11, 2026, with share allotment expected to be finalized on September 15 and listing scheduled on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE on September 17, 2026.
