For the Nifty, the Sensex, sector indices and the 2,000 most-traded NSE stocks: the range the price is likely to stay within over the next week (5 trading sessions) and the next month (21 sessions), at three levels of confidence. An 80% range should hold about 8 times in 10. The ranges are centred on the last close: they say how far, not which way. Forecasts are locked before the market reopens and graded in public.

The typical move for each of the 2,000 most-traded NSE stocks, as a percentage of the last close. A wide range means a stock that has been swinging hard lately; size positions and stop-losses accordingly.

How the ranges are made
- From the last close, we measure how much each index and stock has been moving lately: an average of daily moves that gives recent days more weight, so it reacts within days when markets turn rough.
- That sets the typical size of the next week's and month's move.
- We then check how often ranges of that size actually held over the last 250 sessions (500 for indices), and widen or narrow them until the 50%, 80% and 95% ranges held 50%, 80% and 95% of the time (conformal calibration). Stocks are calibrated in four liquidity groups, because thinly traded stocks jump more.
- The day's list is locked and its SHA-256 fingerprint published before the market reopens; nothing is edited later. Each forecast is graded when its last session closes.
Before launch, the method was tested on 2014–2026 data for the 300 most-traded stocks: weekly 80% ranges held between 79% and 81% of the time in every single year; monthly 80% ranges held 80% on average, but between 76% and 84% in years when the market's mood changed. That was a back-test; the live record is on the accuracy page.

These are statistical ranges of possible movement, for information and risk awareness. They are
not a forecast of direction, a price target or advice to buy or sell. Prices can and do move outside them: by design, about 1 time
in 5 for an 80% range and 1 time in 20 for a 95% range.
