A-One Steels India Outlines Public Issue Details and Growth Strategy Ahead of Mainboard IPO — September 12, 2026

A-One Steels India Limited, a prominent backward-integrated steel products manufacturer operating primarily in southern India, is preparing for its public listing on domestic bourses. The company has laid out plans for a mainboard initial public offering (IPO) on both the BSE and the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Issue Structure and Size

The book-building issue features a combination of fresh capital mobilization and an Offer for Sale (OFS):

  • Total Issue Size: Expected between ₹405 crore and ₹650 crore based on filings and updated capital requirements.
  • Fresh Issue: Up to ₹355 crore to ₹600 crore, designed to funnel capital directly into the company’s expansion projects.
  • Offer for Sale (OFS): Approximately ₹50 crore by existing selling shareholders.
  • Face Value: ₹10 per equity share.

The issue allocates not more than 50% of the net offer to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), not less than 35% to retail individual investors, and not less than 15% to Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs/HNIs).

Tentative Timeline and Intermediaries

According to draft filing disclosures and market schedules, the indicative timeline includes:

  • IPO Bidding Opens: September 24
  • IPO Bidding Closes: September 28
  • Basis of Allotment: September 29
  • Listing on BSE and NSE: October 1

PL Capital Markets Private Limited and Khambatta Securities Limited are acting as the book-running lead managers for the issue, while Bigshare Services Private Limited has been appointed as the registrar.

Objectives of the Offer

The net proceeds from the fresh issue are intended to support the company’s integrated infrastructure and financial restructuring.

Key Deployment Objectives:

  • Capital expenditure and machinery procurement for its subsidiary, Vanya Steels Private Limited, to expand operating capacity at its Koppal facility in Karnataka.
  • Investment in captive green energy, including solar power systems and waste heat recovery infrastructure.
  • Prepayment or scheduled repayment of outstanding borrowings to lower finance costs.
  • General corporate purposes.

Business and Operational Footprint

Incorporated in 2012, A-One Steels manufactures a diversified product portfolio across long and flat steel segments, including Thermo-Mechanically Treated (TMT) bars, Mild Steel (MS) billets, Hot Rolled (HR) coils, Cold Rolled (CR) coils, and sponge iron. The company also produces industrial inputs such as metallurgical coke and silicon manganese/ferrosilicon used in steel manufacturing.

A-One Steels operates manufacturing infrastructure in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, capitalizing on backward integration to manage cost efficiency across sponge iron production and finished steel goods. For Indian market participants, the listing offers another pathway to participate in the growing demand for secondary steel driven by domestic construction, housing, and industrial infrastructure outlays.
