Shares of wealth and asset management firm 360 ONE WAM Limited gained over 4% in intraday trade on Wednesday after the company announced the appointment of Aashish Agarwal, currently Managing Director and Country Head of Jefferies India, as the incoming Chief Executive Officer of the group.
The stock opened higher at ₹1,093.70 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) compared to its previous close of ₹1,073.50, eventually touching an intraday high of ₹1,122.
Strategic Leadership Transition
Under the transition approved by the board, Aashish Agarwal will take over as Chief Executive Officer effective February 15, 2027. Agarwal brings over two decades of experience across investment banking, capital markets, and institutional equity research. Before heading Jefferies' India operations since April 2020, he spent 13 years at CLSA, serving as Executive Director and Head of Research, following an earlier stint at Merrill Lynch.
Alongside the CEO appointment, co-founder Karan Bhagat—who has served as Managing Director and CEO for over 18 years—will transition to the role of Vice Chairman while continuing as Managing Director of the Group. Bhagat will steer long-term group strategy, capital allocation, and key institutional and client relationships. Co-founder Yatin Shah will continue to head the firm's wealth management franchise.
The board-structured transition is designed to create a frictionless leadership handover while integrating 360 ONE’s three core verticals: Wealth Management, Asset Management, and Capital Markets.
Positioning for Wealth Creation in India
The company noted that the leadership realignment aligns with India’s broader economic progression toward a $5 trillion and subsequent $15 trillion economy. As domestic family offices, ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs), and institutional investors require increasingly sophisticated investment banking, capital raising, and advisory services, 360 ONE plans to offer full-lifecycle solutions under a unified platform.
As of June 30, 2026, 360 ONE WAM manages assets exceeding ₹7.8 lakh crore ($82 billion), catering to more than 8,900 families, institutions, and corporate clients.
