Clean Max Enviro Swings in Volatile Trade After Rs 1,063 Crore Block Deal by Augment India

Shares of Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Ltd. witnessed sharp volatility on Monday following a massive block deal executed at an estimated value of ₹1,062.8 crore.

The stock opened lower at ₹1,301, sliding roughly 6.6% from its previous close of ₹1,392.55, before rebounding swiftly to touch an intraday high of ₹1,451, up 4.2% from the prior closing mark.

Block Deal Breakdown

Private equity backer Augment India Holdings LLC was looking to offload 85 lakh equity shares, equivalent to a 7.25% stake in the renewable energy solutions provider.

Key parameters of the transaction include:

  • Offer Size: 85,00,000 equity shares (7.25% stake)
  • Deal Value: Approximately ₹1,062.8 crore
  • Floor Price: ₹1,250 per share, reflecting an indicative discount of up to 10% against recent market prices
  • Pre-Deal Holding: As of June 30, 2026, Augment India Holdings LLC held 1,11,40,172 equity shares, representing a 9.50% stake in the company

Brokerages Bullish on Long-Term C&I Demand

The large secondary stake sale coincides with bullish initiations from institutional research desks tracking India's green energy shift.

Global brokerage Macquarie recently initiated coverage on Clean Max Enviro with an 'Outperform' rating and set a target price of ₹1,700 per share. Macquarie noted that the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment accounts for over half of India's electricity consumption, where roughly two-thirds of users remain reliant on pricier state distribution companies (DISCOMs). By shifting to C&I renewables, enterprises can realise electricity savings of up to 35% alongside meeting their decarbonisation mandates.

The brokerage also projects Clean Max's operational installed capacity to more than double to approximately 8 GW by FY29, bolstered by recurring corporate demand and rising energy consumption from AI and data centre infrastructure projects. The initiation followed a similar bullish assessment by domestic brokerage JM Financial.

Clean Max Enviro positions itself as an integrated corporate energy platform, catering to roughly 600 clients with multi-state regulatory access across India.
