Shah Investors Home Secures Rs 27.05 Crore from Anchor Investors Ahead of Mainboard IPO

Ahmedabad-headquartered retail brokerage and financial services firm Shah Investor's Home Limited has raised Rs 27.05 crore from anchor investors on September 25, 2026, just ahead of its initial public offering (IPO) opening for general subscription. The company's IPO committee finalized the allocation of 16,19,760 equity shares at an anchor issue price of Rs 167 apiece, which sits at the upper cap of the defined price corridor.

The anchor allocation accounts for 30% of the overall issue size. According to regulatory filings submitted to the stock exchanges, the allotment was disbursed across four institutional and corporate entities.

Key Anchor Investors and Allocation Share

Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) absorbed nearly three-fourths of the anchor round, while a corporate investor took up the remaining portion.

  • Anubhuti Value Trust: Allocated 4,49,650 shares through its Anubhuti Value Fund 2 scheme, representing 27.76% of the anchor portion.
  • Gagandeep Credit Capital: Awarded 4,19,900 equity shares under the corporate/other category, accounting for 25.92% of the book.
  • Compact Structure Fund: Subscribed to 3,90,150 equity shares, representing 24.09% of the anchor offering.
  • Sunrise Investment Trust: Allocated 3,60,060 shares via the Sunrise Investment Opportunities Fund, cornering 22.23% of the total anchor pool.

Notably, the anchor book featured no participation from domestic mutual funds, life insurance companies, or pension funds. Under Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) guidelines, 50% of the anchor portion remains under a mandatory 30-day lock-in period, while the remaining 50% faces a 90-day lock-in following the final basis of allotment.

Issue Structure and Key Dates

The mainboard public issue seeks to raise Rs 90.17 crore entirely via a fresh issue of 53,99,200 equity shares of face value Rs 10 each, with no offer-for-sale (OFS) component.

  • Bidding Period: Opens Monday, September 28, 2026, and concludes on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
  • Price Band: Set between Rs 159 and Rs 167 per equity share.
  • Bid Lot Size: 85 equity shares, requiring a minimum retail commitment of Rs 14,195 at the upper end of the price range.
  • Allotment and Listing: Share allotment is scheduled for October 1, 2026, followed by a proposed listing on the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) on October 6, 2026.
  • Intermediaries: Beeline Capital Advisors Private Limited is the sole book-running lead manager, while MUFG Intime India Private Limited serves as the registrar.

Out of the total net issue, 50% has been reserved for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), 15% for Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs/HNIs), and 35% for Retail Individual Investors (RIIs).

Business Operations and Utilization of Proceeds

Founded in 1994, Shah Investor's Home operates primarily in retail broking, mutual fund distribution, margin trading funding (MTF), and stock lending and borrowing (SLB). It runs an extensive network across Gujarat and Mumbai through 11 physical branches alongside an authorized person franchise network.

The net fresh proceeds from the issue are largely earmarked towards meeting working capital requirements and expanding the company's margin trading facility book to scale interest income operations.

Financial Performance and Market Headwinds

The IPO comes amid contraction in the brokerage's recent financials. For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, Shah Investor's Home reported total income of Rs 72.40 crore, down 23% from Rs 94.47 crore reported in FY25. Net profit after tax (PAT) slipped 44% year-on-year to Rs 13.11 crore in FY26 compared to Rs 23.42 crore in the prior fiscal.

Prospective investors have weighed these moderating earnings against potential regulatory scrutiny and intense industry competition, alongside a heavy geographic reliance on Gujarat, which accounts for over 90% of the firm's core broking revenue.
