🇮🇳 India Daybook: Infosys Raises Revenue Guidance, L&T Bags 3,000 MW Mega Order

📍 MARKET HOLIDAY

• The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) are closed today, January 15, 2026, on account of municipal corporation elections in Maharashtra. Trading will resume on Friday, January 16.

📍 Q3 EARNINGS

• Infosys: Reported a consolidated net profit of ₹6,654 crore for Q3 FY26, a 2.2% YoY decline. However, revenue grew 8.9% YoY to ₹45,479 crore, and the company raised its full-year revenue growth guidance to 3–3.5% in constant currency.
• Indian Overseas Bank (IOB): Standalone net profit surged 56.25% YoY to ₹1,365.12 crore. The bank's total income for the quarter stood at approximately ₹4,979 crore.
• Union Bank of India: Reported an 8.97% growth in profit after tax (PAT) at ₹5,016.77 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025.
• Bank of Maharashtra: Net profit rose 26.5% YoY to ₹1,779 crore. Net Interest Income (NII) grew 16.3% to ₹3,422 crore.
• Groww (Billionbrains Garage Ventures): Reported a 27.76% YoY decline in consolidated PAT to ₹546.93 crore, despite a 24.8% jump in revenue to ₹1,216 crore.

📍 ORDER WIN

• Larsen & Toubro (L&T): Its Heavy Civil Infrastructure subsidiary secured a massive order from Torrent Energy Storage Solutions (a Torrent Power arm) for the 3,000 MW Saidongar-1 Pumped Storage Project in Maharashtra.
• NLC India: Entered a pact with the Gujarat government for renewable energy projects with an investment potential of ₹25,000 crore. The board also gave in-principle approval to list its subsidiary, NLC India Renewables (NIRL).
• Interarch Building Solutions: Won a domestic order worth ₹130 crore for the design, manufacturing, and erection of a pre-engineered steel building system.
• NBCC (India): Secured a project worth ₹55.02 crore from Indian Overseas Bank for the construction of a new regional office in Raipur.

📍 ACQUISITION

• Tata Consultancy Services (TCS): Successfully completed the 100% equity acquisition of U.S.-based Salesforce partner Coastal Cloud Holdings, LLC on January 14, 2026.
• Paytm: Announced the acquisition of a 100% stake in Ujjwal Fintech Services from One97 Communications to streamline its lending-related operations.

📍 REGULATORY & USFDA

• Biocon Pharma: Received USFDA approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for generic Everolimus tablets (2mg, 3mg, and 5mg) used for treating tuberous sclerosis complex.
• Alembic Pharmaceuticals: Secured tentative USFDA approval for Bosutinib tablets (400 mg), indicated for the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia.
• Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories: Received a pre-approval inspection (PAI) letter from the USFDA for its biologics manufacturing facility in Hyderabad.
