4,48,939 vehicles were registered in Maharashtra in October 2025. Volume rose sharply 22.7% against October 2024 and more than doubled 112.7% against September. That is the strongest month Maharashtra has recorded since our data begins in January 2022.
That made Maharashtra the 2nd largest vehicle market in India in October 2025, behind Uttar Pradesh on 6,11,360 and ahead of Gujarat on 3,33,817.
That is 10.8% of every vehicle registered in the country that month, −1.62pp against October 2024.
