EAAA India Alternatives CEO Amit Agarwal Projects Strong Fee-Paying AUM Growth as Rs 1200 Crore IPO Opens
EAAA India Alternatives Limited, the alternative asset management arm promoted by the Edelweiss Group, has entered the primary market with a Rs 1,200-crore initial public offering (IPO). Underpinning investor interest is the company's compounding track record, where fee-paying assets under management (FPAUM) logged an annualized growth rate of over 23% over the past three fiscal years, reaching Rs 48,623 crore as of June 2026.
The IPO, which is open for public bidding between October 26 and October 28, 2026, has been priced in a band of Rs 1,585 to Rs 1,665 per equity share. At the upper end of the price band, the alternative asset manager commands an equity valuation of approximately Rs 10,765 crore. Ahead of the opening, the company mobilised Rs 360 crore from anchor investors.
Compounding Base of Fee-Earning Assets
Speaking on the platform’s business trajectory, Chief Executive Officer Amit Agarwal highlighted the expanding appetite for yield, real assets, and private credit solutions among both domestic and global institutional allocators.
EAAA India Alternatives operates across two primary asset strategies:
- Real Assets: Accounts for approximately 57.7% of fee-paying AUM, managing infrastructure portfolios such as highways, transmission assets, solar energy facilities, and commercial real estate through its dedicated operating platform, Sekura.
- Private Credit: Comprises roughly 39.6% of fee-paying AUM, deploying capital across performing credit, structured credit, and special situation financing.
The company's fee-paying AUM expanded from Rs 30,398 crore in March 2024 to Rs 33,833 crore in March 2025, Rs 44,710 crore in March 2026, and crossed Rs 48,623 crore by the end of the first quarter of FY27 (June 2026), reflecting a three-year CAGR of 23.43%. Total active commitments under management stood at Rs 95,345 crore across 26 active funds as of June 30, 2026.
Revenue Visibility and High Net Worth Demand
The growth in fee-paying AUM has directly bolstered recurring revenues. Management and advisory fees rose from Rs 398.01 crore in FY24 to Rs 479.53 crore in FY25 and Rs 579.07 crore in FY26. Consolidated profit after tax reached Rs 265.20 crore in FY26, compared to Rs 175.16 crore in FY24.
Agarwal noted that the alternatives segment in India remains severely underpenetrated compared to mature economies. Alternative assets account for less than 4% of India’s gross domestic product (GDP), whereas comparable allocations in the United States hover near 30%. This 7x gap presents a multidecade runway for alternative investment funds (AIFs) to absorb patient capital from ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and domestic institutions seeking risk-adjusted alpha outside volatile public equity markets and low-yielding fixed deposits.
Offer Details and Structural Features
The Rs 1,200-crore issue is entirely an offer-for-sale (OFS) of shares by promoter entity Edelweiss Securities and Investments.
