LEAP India Q2 FY27 Net Profit Surges 62% to Rs 17.8 Crore as Company Inks Rs 142-Crore Dual Acquisitions
Supply-chain solutions and asset-pooling leader LEAP India Limited has delivered a sharp uptick in profitability for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 (Q2 FY27). In its first comprehensive quarterly report card since its domestic listing in August 2026, the company posted a 62% year-on-year surge in consolidated net profit, comfortably outstripping revenue growth as post-IPO deleveraging and operational efficiencies kicked in.
Alongside its operational scorecard, the board approved twin acquisitions valued at Rs 142 crore on a slump-sale basis through wholly owned subsidiaries to bring crate manufacturing in-house and expand automotive pooling operations.
Q2 FY27 Financial Highlights
On a consolidated basis, LEAP India registered broad-based gains across core financial metrics:
- Consolidated Net Profit (PAT): Surged 62.0% year-on-year to Rs 17.80 crore (Rs 178.04 million), compared to Rs 10.99 crore in Q2 FY26. Profit margins expanded by 200 basis points to reach 8.2%.
- Revenue from Operations: Grew 18.2% year-on-year to Rs 211.19 crore (Rs 2,111.89 million) from Rs 178.67 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
- Total Income: Advanced 23% year-on-year to Rs 215.93 crore (Rs 2,159 million).
- EBITDA & Margins: EBITDA expanded 25% year-on-year to Rs 109.70 crore (Rs 1,097 million), with EBITDA margins climbing 91 basis points to 50.8%.
- Cash PAT: Stood at Rs 75.40 crore (Rs 754 million), registering an increase of 26% year-on-year.
Sequentially, consolidated net profit declined 28% from Rs 24.73 crore in Q1 FY27, partly affected by a Rs 6.85 crore prepayment charge associated with debt retirement.
Segment Breakdown and Operational Depth
LEAP India commands roughly 90% of India's organised pallet-pooling segment, managing an active base of approximately 15.5 million assets through 27 fulfilment centres and more than 11,000 touchpoints.
In H1 FY27, asset pooling accounted for 82% of total income, while Material Handling Equipment (MHE) pooling contributed 17%. In Q2 FY27, asset-pooling revenue expanded 19% to Rs 175.90 crore, while MHE revenue (marketed under the TARON brand) surged 52% to Rs 39.30 crore. Capacity utilisation remained elevated across segments: pallet utilisation reached 89.3%, MHE utilisation stood at 82.3%, and container utilisation clocked 73.7%.
Strategic Acquisitions: Backward Integration and Auto Exposure
LEAP India announced two key transactions totalling Rs 142 crore to fortify its supply-chain ecosystem:
Acquisition Details and Strategic Rationale:
- Vimprotech: Specialises in mould design and the manufacturing of plastic crates, containers, and trays across facilities in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. The purchase equips LEAP India with direct manufacturing capabilities, reducing third-party vendor dependency for rented assets.
- Total International Packaging Solutions (TIPS): Operates an automotive crate pooling network with four strategic warehouses located in Bengaluru, Nashik, and Tirunelveli.
In FY26, the two acquired entities generated approximately Rs 65 crore in combined revenue and added over 200 enterprise customers, providing cross-selling opportunities across LEAP's existing roster of more than 1,100 clients.
Balance Sheet Deleveraging and Structural Tailwinds
Following its initial public offering in August 2026—which raised Rs 2,480 crore, including a fresh issue of Rs 480 crore—LEAP India utilised proceeds to prepay long-term debt. The deleveraging exercise lowered the company's debt-to-equity ratio to 0.48x, resulted in reduced quarterly finance costs, and prompted a credit rating upgrade from India Ratings & Research.
The broader macroeconomic thesis for pallet-pooling platforms in India remains tied to warehouse modernisation. With national palletisation penetration at approximately 17% and pooled-pallet penetration at under 10%—far below North American and European benchmarks—the expansion of Grade-A warehousing, automated fulfilment centres, and retail logistics continues to provide structural runway for organised operators.
