For market participants and institutional investors, the consistent outperformance in indirect tax revenues provides critical support to the government’s fiscal deficit glide path. A buoyant tax kitty ensures that capital spending programs in infrastructure, defense, and public utilities remain fully funded without necessitating additional market borrowings. The strong domestic mop-up also signals healthy corporate compliance and resilient consumption demand, offering a positive macro backdrop for domestic equities and fixed-income markets.
