Category-Wise Subscription Breakdown:

  • Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs): The high-net-worth individual portion saw the heaviest demand, closing 559.20 times subscribed.
  • Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs): Institutional investors subscribed their reserved quota 200.25 times.
  • Retail Individual Investors (RIIs): Retail participants bid 128.36 times their allocated portion.

Ahead of opening, the company had also secured Rs 76.50 crore from anchor investors, who were allotted 51 lakh equity shares at the upper price band of Rs 150 per share.

Business Fundamentals and Expansion Plans

Incorporated in 1991, BLS Polymers manufactures custom-formulated polymer compounds across more than 120 grades, including HDPE, MDPE, LLDPE, XLPE, PVC, and halogen-free flame retardant (HFFR) compounds. The company’s products serve as critical raw materials for the insulation, sheathing, and jacketing of cables and wires used in power transmission, telecommunications, and railways. Its compounds are also widely deployed in anti-corrosion coatings for underground municipal water lines and oil and gas distribution pipelines.

Operating out of a manufacturing facility in Goa with an annual installed capacity of 35,251 metric tonnes, the company caters to over 190 customers domestically and exports to international markets including the United States, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bangladesh, and Zambia.

From the fresh issue proceeds, BLS Polymers has earmarked Rs 77.56 crore to expand its existing Goa facility and enhance production capacities for key product lines. Another Rs 89.5 crore will be deployed toward working capital requirements to support operational scaling, with the balance slated for general corporate purposes.

On the financial front, the company posted a total income of Rs 354.41 crore in FY26, up 5.3% from Rs 336.70 crore in FY25. Profit after tax (PAT) rose 27.8% year-on-year to Rs 27.01 crore from Rs 21.14 crore, driven by margin expansion across its specialty compounding portfolio.
