🕵️ Insider Trading Today: Promoter Buying and Selling

Promoters, directors and senior officers must disclose their own trades in their company's shares. Each row below is one such trade as the company filed it: who, how many shares, for how much, and the holding afterwards. "On the market" means bought or sold on the exchange; ESOP allotments, gifts, transfers within the promoter group and pledges are listed but not counted as buying or selling.

Questions

Who has to disclose these trades?

Promoters, members of the promoter group, directors and designated persons such as key officers, and their immediate relatives, when their trades in the company's shares cross the limits in SEBI's insider-trading rules. They tell the company, and the company tells the exchange.

What does "on the market" mean here?

A purchase or sale made on the stock exchange. Shares received under an ESOP, gifts, transfers between members of the promoter group, off-market deals and pledges are disclosed too and are listed, but they are not counted as buying or selling in the 30-day tables.

Does a promoter buying mean the stock will rise?

No. A disclosure records one trade by one person; it is not a forecast or a recommendation. People buy and sell their own company's shares for many reasons, including taxes, loans and family transfers.

Why is a trade I saw missing or listed twice?

When a company files a correction, the corrected filing replaces the one it corrects here. A trade disclosed only in a document the company attached, and not in the structured filing, does not appear.

How to read this page. Everything here is a description of data the exchange has already published — it is not a forecast, a recommendation, or a signal to buy or sell. Labels such as "accumulation", "short buildup" or "support" name a pattern in the numbers, nothing more.
