📖 What a triple top is
Three peaks at roughly the same price with two troughs between them. A line through the troughs is the neckline.
Why it forms
A ceiling that has now turned price back three times. Each failure adds sellers who are waiting at that level and buyers who have given up on it.

A close below the neckline drawn through the intervening lows.
📏 Target
Project the height from the peaks to the neckline down from the break.
🛑 Invalidation
A close above the three peaks — a level tested three times and then cleared is a strong bullish signal.

The shaded band is the formation. On tops and bottoms the indigo line traces the shape itself — up into the left shoulder, over the head, and away from the right — and the dashed line is the neckline it has to break; on triangles, wedges and channels the two solid boundaries are the pattern. Is a triple top stronger than a double top?
The resistance is better established, but the pattern takes longer to complete and gives back more of the move before it triggers. Neither is reliably 'stronger' — the neckline break is what matters in both.
What happens if a triple top breaks upward?
It becomes a bullish breakout from a well-tested resistance level, and those tend to run. A level that survived three tests has few sellers left above it.
How do you set a stop on a triple top?
Conventionally just above the highest of the three peaks, or above the neckline once it has broken and been retested.

How these are found: swing highs and lows are picked out with a percentage ZigZag on daily and weekly candles, and the boundaries are line-fitted through those swings. A formation is only published when the fit is tight, the boundaries are actually touched several times, and the price action stays inside them. The most recent swing is provisional, so a forming pattern can still change shape on the next candle, and patterns whose break already played out are dropped rather than shown as fresh.
