Tata Motors (EV) led the month with 4,176 registrations — 65.1% of the electric car market — ahead of MG Motor on 1,395 (21.7%), a gap of 2,781 units. Tata Motors (EV) also led July.
The top three hold 91.8% of the segment; 15 manufacturers registered at least one electric car.

How electric is each car maker?
Every car maker's August 2024 volume, split into battery-electric and everything else (petrol, diesel, CNG and hybrid). Leave the EVs out and Maruti Suzuki leads the non-electric cars market with 37.9%.
Among the established makers, MG Motor has gone furthest: 33.1% of its cars were electric.
