The fuel mix, April 2025
India registered 3,45,171 cars in April 2025. By fuel: petrol 52.3%, diesel 19.1%, CNG and LPG 15.9%, hybrid 8.7%, battery-electric 4.1%.
Against April 2024, CNG and LPG gained the most share (+1.9pp) and petrol lost the most (−3.8pp).
