Tata Motors (EV) led the month with 3,720 registrations — 64.7% of the electric car market — ahead of MG Motor on 1,032 (17.9%), a gap of 2,688 units. Tata Motors (EV) also led August.
The top three hold 90.9% of the segment; 17 manufacturers registered at least one electric car.

How electric is each car maker?
Every car maker's September 2024 volume, split into battery-electric and everything else (petrol, diesel, CNG and hybrid). Leave the EVs out and Maruti Suzuki leads the non-electric cars market with 39.1%.
Among the established makers, MG Motor has gone furthest: 32.0% of its cars were electric.
