India's CNG and LPG vehicle market registered 1,06,677 vehicles in May 2025. Volumes improved 4.8% against May 2024, and declined 7.1% on April.
That is 5 consecutive months of year-on-year growth for the segment. Year to date, 6,14,382 units have been registered across 5 months, +20.2% on the same stretch of 2024 (5,11,188). The segment accounted for 4.6% of every vehicle registered in India that month.
May is the pre-monsoon window — rural demand is still waiting on the first rains.
