How October went
India's CNG and LPG vehicle market registered 1,97,379 vehicles in October 2025. Volumes pushed ahead 14.6% against October 2024, and shot up 68.3% on September. It was the biggest month in our 3-year Vahan record.
That is 10 consecutive months of year-on-year growth for the segment. Year to date, 12,81,387 units have been registered across 10 months, +16.4% on the same stretch of 2024 (11,00,710). The segment accounted for 4.7% of every vehicle registered in India that month.
October is the festive peak. Navratri and Diwali make it the single biggest registration month of most years, so year-on-year comparisons swing on where the festivals fall.

Where the demand is
Maharashtra was the largest market in full-year 2025 with 3,01,409 registrations, 19.6% of the segment's national total. Gujarat (2,49,341) and Uttar Pradesh (2,05,512) followed. Rajasthan has gained the most ground, adding 1.05pp of the national total.
