India's CNG and LPG vehicle market registered 4,19,145 CNG vehicles in Q1 FY 2026-27. Volumes climbed sharply 26.8% against the 3,30,534 logged over the same 3 months of Q1 FY 2025-26.
June was the strongest month of the period at 1,45,596 CNG vehicles and May the quietest at 1,35,363, an average of 1,39,715 a month. Every one of those 3 months grew on the same month a year earlier.
June brings the monsoon onset, which sets the tone for tractor and rural two-wheeler demand for the rest of the year.
