About this screen
Foreign institutional holding is what foreign portfolio investors and other foreign institutions own, as each company files it every quarter. It rises when they buy on the market, but also when they take new shares in a placement (a QIP or a preferential issue) or when an index they track adds the stock, and it can fall without any selling when the company issues shares to others. The change here is the latest shareholding filing against the one a quarter earlier, in percentage points; jumps above 20 points (a change of control) are left out. Open the company's Ownership section to see which institutions are named in the filing.
