About this screen
Promoters pledge shares as collateral for loans, taken by the company or by themselves. The pledge figure here is the part of the promoters' own holding that is pledged, from the quarter's shareholding filing; Equity Pledged puts the same shares against all of the company's shares. If the share price falls far enough, a lender can sell pledged shares, which is why the figure is watched; a rising pledge can also simply fund a new project. The change is the latest filing against the one a quarter earlier, in percentage points.
